Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
  • Our team are different in lots of ways (that’s what makes them / us so interesting) our team support Adults aged 18 years and above.   

  • Individuals vary with their mobility from being independent to using wheelchairs. 

  • Our support team support Verbal and non-verbal individuals. 

  • At present we cater for tenants who have the following conditions/requirements

  •  

  • Full assistance with all aspects of their personal care needs, support to get around the homes environment
  • To access the community which enables the us to participate in everyday living activities and to keep in touch with the wider community.
  • We use our own vehicle with full assistance from staff. So we need someone that holds a UK driving licence
  • We provide a wide range and variety of food and drink to accommodate the individuals dietary requirements.
  • Our team support individuals with various health conditions such as: autism, learning disabilities, mental health / dementia and continence issues.

  • What is important to the people that we support?

  • We enjoy outdoor activities, shopping ,dining out, group activities such as: Bowling, Chester Zoo (members of) and a variety of tours.
  • Other interests we have are listening to music, watching movies, cooking and baking. 
  • We are fun loving, kind, caring, considerate, respectful of other people’s personal space and belongings.  
 
We provide a happy and safe environment in our home and we always respect each other’s privacy, dignity and space.

Other important information?
 
  • There is always at least 2 colleagues on shift during the day and 1 colleague on a sleep - in night. 
  • We like our staff to work Long Days Sleep 09.00 a.m. through to 09.00a.m. the following day (this of course includes the sleep-in from 23.00 till 07.00 a.m., other shifts are Long Day 08.00 a.m. till 20.00. 
  • The main objective is that we have a clean, friendly, and safe home ensuring that each of us individuals preferences and choices are met.
