Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
It's just three of us living here, but we still like to have fun! Our hobbies include swimming, hot tubs, cinema, playing with stones, adapted bikes  and just going out in the community and about trying new things!

We need our support workers to have a full UK driving licence, as we have a specially adapted vehicle, which we would like you to drive.

We tend to enjoy our 1-1 time but also enjoy spending time with each other as well.

Our team are trained in medication and epilepsy,  and we all have full support with personal care, and medication.  Our team are all able to cook and follow SALT guidelines.  The service leader and staff team are very happy to support with upskilling the right candidates, so if you need any training, that is not a problem!
We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.

Your values:
It takes a special person to work in social care, and we recognise that not everyone who might be perfect for the role, will have any professional experience.  This is why we are really passionate about recruiting to your values.  This means we can recruit from all walks of life, from people with vast experience in support work or care assistant roles, to those with lived experiences looking after friends or family members with disabilities, to people with other transferable skills or those with no experience at all.
Naturally it is important that you share our company values - We Include, We Deliver, We Aspire, We Respect, We Enable.  This is at the heart of everything we do and ensures that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. Values are important to us, so we look for people with:
  • A caring nature, with a mature outlook
  • Patience, Resilience and Determination
  • Compassion, Sensitivity, and Empathy
  • Honesty and Reliability
  • A strong work ethic, and a natural problem solver

By encouraging and embracing a range of diverse backgrounds, experiences, capabilities and viewpoints, we will build a stronger, richer, more vibrant workforce, which reflects the people we support, and the communities in which we work. It helps us make better decisions, bring fresh ideas and become a true provider and employer of choice.

We have a really clear plan to achieve this called A Place I Belong. This publicly sets out the promises we’ve made to achieving this vision and how we will hold ourselves to account to getting there. You can read more about this by clicking here.
