Are you a positive and motivated person who is experienced in supporting people who can exhibit behaviour that challenges?
Are you looking to gain great experience in a satisfying job where you feel supported?
If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you’ve been looking for!
At our Elgin service, we support vulnerable individuals who live in their own homes to live as independently as possible. The people we support have learning disabilities and a variety of health conditions, including diabetes and epilepsy, and would benefit greatly from staff who are proactive, fun and understanding.
The individuals we support enjoy a wide range of different activities, like watching TV (especially Love Island!), going on holiday, attending social clubs and events, going out walking and exploring the community. They’re always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge.
Our staff team are very supportive and experienced and provide support with:
• Medication administration
• Moving and positioning
• Cooking and home maintenance
• Social support and support to achieve personal goals
• Managing the finances of the people we support
Our team provide support 24 hours a day, so we ask for flexibility to work a variety of shifts including days and sleepovers and some weekends.
Our shift patterns can vary but are generally:
- 2pm - 2pm the next day (including sleepover)
- 8am - 3pm
- 3pm - 8.30pm
We are currently recruiting for a part-time (16 hour) role.
