Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Are you a fun and motivated person who loves going the extra mile to improve the lives of others? Is it important for you to have a satisfying job where you feel supported? We are recruiting for Support Workers to support 2 men and 2 ladies who share their home in Ellon. The people we support have faced a lot of challenges in the past because of their learning disabilities, mobility and health issues but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life! They enjoy lots of activities, including going to aquafit, listening to Scottish music, meeting up with family, going out into the town for a walk and a coffee, watching soaps and being creative with arts and crafts. Our support team are very diverse and work well together to ensure the people we support are happy and safe in their own homes. This can include: • Supporting them with medication • Cooking • Assisting with personal care and mobility; two of the people we support use wheelchairs when out and about • Maintaining the homes of people supported and managing their finances Our team provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so we are looking for some flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including some weekends and sleepovers. We are looking for a part-time Support Worker for 18 hours per week and our shift patterns are: • 7.00am – 12.30pm • 8am – 2pm • 2pm - 8pm • 8pm - 7am (sleepover)
