As Chef you will be responsible for menu preparation, stock ordering, maintaining a clean, tidy, hygienic, and safe working environment at all times. You will cook and serve nutritious and healthy meals providing great choice, considering cultural preferences and special dietary requirements to meet the needs of the residents. You will complete all necessary paperwork such as COSHH, HACPP, whilst adhering to company policies and procedures.
As Chef you will ideally have experience in managing a kitchen in a Care Home or similar environment. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to keep clear and accurate records, excellent organisational skills to meet service times, thrive on the autonomy to plan and prioritise and have a ‘knack’ for following recipes. A minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or wiliness to work towards this would be desirable.
